From 1997 to present in print collection/reference at HF5681

S & P's NetAdvantage Industry Surveys, archived back to 2001.  To access historical Industry surveys you must use the Industries section of the database

 

Business Source Complete Industry Profiles, dates vary but generally 4 to 5 years back
Suggested search - NAICS code AND "industry profile" in title

Historical financial data for companies can be found in several library databases and on the web.  Coverage will vary by source and company.

S & P's NetAdvantage Select Compustat Excel Analytics.
Use dropdown menu to select desired information. 
This will open an Excel spreadsheet.

Includes charts.
   
Valueline Investment Survey
Select the PDF format for more extensive historial data
   
LexisNexis Academic
   
SEC's Edgar Database Annual 10-K statements available for companies as far back as 1994. Search by company name or ticker and filter by form "10-k"

International Directory of Company Histories
A classic resource for company information with 3-5 page entries containing information on:
• Founders
• Expansions & strategies
• Labor/management actions
• Stock exchanges, ticker symbols & industries
• Principal subsidiaries, divisions, operating units & competitors

Company Profiles from MarketLine are available full text through Business Source Complete.  There is usually a  history section included in these reports. To easily access a company's profile use the drop-down menu under "More" on the top blue bar, select "Company Profiles" and search by company name.

Hoover's Company Profiles usually include a Company History section.
